Our e-commerce web site package features a gift certificate system that allows you to create virtual gift certificates that can be used in many ways. For example, you could create a product that is a $25.00 gift certificate (or any other amount you wish) and sell it on the site. When a customer purchases it, you then go and create them a unique redemption code, and them email it to them. Your customer can then use that code themselves, or give to it to someone else as a gift to be used on your store.

You can also use it for promotional sales. Lets say for example you are going to run an advertisement in a local paper. You could create a specific redemption code to mention in the add (perhaps something like "Use the code SAVE to get $10 off any purchase). The system can be set up so a code can be used any amount of times, but only once per user. So anyone could now come to the site and redeem that code for $10 off their next purchase.
